Microdermabrasion Treatment
Microdermabrasion is a gentle abrasive technique that is excellent for sun-damaged and rough-textured skin. A stream of microscopic crystals gently removes the dry, damaged outer layer of skin, revealing the younger-looking, healthier skin underneath, and is safe to use on all skin types and colors. The microdermabrasion treatment enhances the skin’s condition by stimulating collagen production, removing dead and flaking skin cells and stimulating the production of fresh, young skin cells. Many clients report that their skin feels softer, tighter and smoother with improved tone, color and texture.
Treatment Time (Duration of Treatment)
Microdermabrasion sessions last approximately 20-30 minutes.
What Does Microdermabrasion Feel Like?
Microdermabrasion treatments are painless and have been reported to feel very refreshing.
Post-Microdermabrasion Treatment
Post-procedure lotion followed by sun block should be applied to the treated area. This protocol should be continued for 2-3 days post-microdermabrasion treatment. It is important to abstain from all tanning, including natural sun exposure, tanning lights, creams and sprays for one week following treatment. Microdermabrasion is often followed by a mild facial peel to increase the benefits of both treatments.
