Pre-Skin Tightening Treatment

Prior to your first skin tightening treatment, we will schedule a consultation for you with an American Laser Skincare professional who will take a medical history, outline a custom treatment plan and answer all of your questions. Our skincare professionals will also provide an in-depth explanation and design a Skin Tightening Plan, just for you.

Preparation

For best results it is important to stay away from indoor, outdoor or sunless tanning and to use sun block with SPF 60 or higher for the course of the skin tightening treatment. You will want to avoid any lotions, creams, makeup, sun block, perfume or any other chemicals or skincare products on the areas to be treated. These can impede the transmission of light, reducing the effectiveness of the skin tightening treatment.

Skin Tightening Treatment

Skin tightening treatments use clinically-tested infrared and radio frequency (RF) energies to stimulate healthy collagen remodeling inside your skin, to tighten sagging skin and naturally fill in wrinkles at the jaw line, around your eyes, at your brow line and around your mouth and cheeks. The energies penetrate the surface of your skin to heat the collagen and promote remodeling over time, while immediately promoting skin tissue tightening as a result of deep heating. The treatment is non-invasive, FDA-cleared and be safe for most skin types.

Skin tightening is often used in conjunction with other anti-aging protocols, including BOTOX®, Dermal Fillers, FotoFacial and Skin Rejuvenation.

Treatment Time (Duration of Treatment)

Generally a skin tightening session lasts 30-45 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Post-Skin Tightening Treatment

After applying the skin tightening treatment post-procedure lotion, sun block should be applied. This protocol should be continued for 2-3 days post-treatment. A pink or red "sunburn" appearance and feeling is also common. It is normal, as well, for pigmented lesions or irregular pigmentation to become temporarily darker after treatment.
