kokie, Illinois is regarded as an upscale community with one of the most diverse populations in the suburbs of Chicago. The Skokie Park District includes a large number of parks, a rowing facility, two aquatic centers, a nature center, numerous athletic fields, and an ice skating rink. Residents participate in recreational activities at the nearby Lake Michigan. Many movies have been filmed in Skokie including Risky Business, The Weather Man, She's Having a Baby and Sixteen Candles. Skokie is also home to American Laser Skincare.
